Previously I had an automation setup with IFTTT that pushed all my tweets to Tumblr as posts. I have stopped that. I was thinking, why on earth would anyone want to read tweets. If someone wanted to read tweets they would go to Twitter and not Tumblr.

I have been thinking lately if it is best to offer unique content through each channel/publishing platform. Or should I publish whatever I write to all of the other channels (example, publish content on LinkedIn Pulse, Medium, Tumblr, and my personal blog) maximizing its exposure and potential impact. There are positives and negatives in both approaches.

Brands tend to benefit from having unique content in each channel giving customers a reason to follow the brand across social media. I am not sure that this transfers over to personal content.

I really like to write bite sized throught posts similar to this. I still love writing more detailed posts but for short ideas I see this format to be extremely conducive.
